David praises God in Ps. 34:15-22 as the One who hears the righteous when they cry out to Him and delivers them from their troubles, saving those who are crushed in spirit. Focus on the verbs David uses to describe God's intervention on behalf of His people: He hears, delivers, saves, protects, and rescues.
